Some video/pics from the Miami Hip Hop & Rock For Haiti event Black Bob and myself did not too long ago. This was a great night…big ups to all involved. (Video soundtrack by Miami’s LaGuardia)
I’ll be back at it again this Wednesday with Black Bobby @ Vagabond. Should be a dope night.

On Wednesday, January 20th The Vagabond, along with support from Miami New Times, Russian Standard Vodka, Supermarket, Sweat Records, Creative Mafia, Diaspora Gallery, and Vivian Valdes, will be hosting an event to benefit Doctors Without Borders’ ongoing relief effort in Haiti.
There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door (any additional donations are greatly appreciated). 100% of proceeds will go towards Doctors Without Borders, a medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.
Today, MSF provides aid in nearly 70 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need.
Their teams need your help to do their work. Support this emergency response and ongoing emergency medical work in Haiti by visiting www.doctorswithoutborders.org.

Well, it finally happened, after writing a review for this place almost 7 months ago and NEVER even visiting it... i was there. Tugu Hotel Lombok is a pretty majestic place to stay, much like its counterpart in Bali, the entire minimalistic futuristic expeallodocious is thrown out the window for some real throwback material from the days of old school Lombok. The owner is a serious art collector and is considered to have one of the biggest collections in all of Southeast Asia proudly on display at most of his hotels or restaurants.

Seems like America just can't stop invading, no matter what subject it is. The latest of course is all the hype regarding Landon Donovan's loan transfer to Everton in the English Premier League. Don't get me started, already after two failed loan transfers to the German Bundesliga i'm hoping he can make it stick this time and after his first game against my beloved Arsenal a few days ago, he looks like the Donovan that has made him America's soccer posterboy.
And it isn't like Americans in England or abroad is something new, Clint Dempsey (#23) has been doing it for awhile now at Fulham and has garnered enough respect and skill to break into the starting lineup for almost this entire season. Just happy to see Americans progressing in a sport where respect towards them haven't always been the kindest...Happy New Year! Once again, VA’s Skillz holds it down with his annual Rap Up and talks about the highlights from 2009. Check it.
